So there are 3 main things you need to consider when scaling your business:
1) Hiring
Employees are expensive and when you're growing, your margins are probably thin. But handling every aspect of your business isn't helping you grow. You need employees but it's best to be selective and stay as small as possible. Even raising your prices before taking on a staff will save you a lot of time and money.
Rules :
2) Resources
You have to protect your margins while simultaneously protecting yourself from attrition. Keeping your customers happy and keeping your bank account happy involves true balance. Remember to incentivize your best employees and reinvest as much as possible.
In the early days of Apple, employees stayed loyal even though they were being offered 2-3x what they were making at Apple. Their loyalty came from feeling like a part of something bigger than themselves. The culture, brand, security, and salary all play a factor in employee integrity. It's a tough one because you might not see all the holes in your organization until you're relatively big already - and your employees have developed bad habits.
3) Time
Hiring, purchasing, expanding, stocking, and even having meetings takes time. Interviewing, training, and nurturing a clientele takes time. The only thing that you actually need is for time to remain on your side. Resources aren't an issue, neither are opportunities. Motivating employees, and remembering to spend time with your family are more important. When you overwork yourself, or waste time on people who aren't looking to buy from you or work with you, that's when you start to have real problems. You can't get time back no matter how many efforts you make.

Rules :
- 1-2 employees = high overhead (expensive to run, difficult to maintain)
- 5-8 employees = sweet spot
- 10 employees = now you need supervisors (divides time of most valuable employees)
- 20 employees = now you need departments (customers are getting confused on whom to talk to, you need support/HR, finance, this is becoming an enterprise)

OUR GOAL
A boutique digital agency specializing in scaling & conversion.
We're breaking the mold of what it means to be in tech. Mostly because we like building websites and creating marketing content but people just comment about our looks.
Being a woman in entrepreneurship is weird, but we embrace it. |
Our clients respect our grind. They understand that the ability to write code, design, create funnels, market effectively, or develop websites has nothing to do with being male/female, old/young, etc. We're just doing what we love to do.
|
First Let'sOrganize
First, we'll have a phone conversation or Skype about what my company can do for your business. We can talk about your pains, what's working and what's not. Then we'll create a game plan to remedy the issues.
|
Now let's WORKStrategize
After our initial conversation we can talk about the different options and choose to attack everything from all angles at once or we can manage one thing at a time. It's totally up to you. I'll give my recommendations and we can go from there.
|
IT'S UP TO USMOVE
Once we have a plan of action, we'll gather the artillery and move to the battle front. It takes about 6-9 months to see major traffic increase so you're in this for ultimate victory if we take the SEO & conversion optimization route. Web development can take anywhere from 24 hours to a month.
